Happy Birthday Amir Derakh!

 

Today one of our favorite guitarists turns 48. Amir Davidson most known by Amir Derakh is the lead guitarist in Julien-K and Dead by Sunrise. He’s also known for his inovative work with Orgy, for those who don’t know who they were I can tell you they were awesome, probably the best synth-rock band around in the 90’s early 00’s. He’s also a great DJ, most people will know him from Circuit Freq – a project he and FU (a.k.a Anthony Valcic) manage outside Julien-K.

The Hand that Feeds crew would like to wish an amazing b-day to “The Dark Prince” and thank him for all this years showing that a true rocker can last several decades still being ahead of the “competition”. A true inspiration as most people would say and a great person as we’ve heard about, plus a very talented musician.

Blog info/ Welcome

First of all it’s with happiness that I officially say: THIS BLOG IS FULLY WORKING!!!

This is a project that I was thinking about a few years back and now it gained shape and as you see it’s working! *YAY*

Well, as you might have noticed this blog works with two different languages: English and Portuguese. Many of my blog posts will be written in English but very soon I’ll have my posts edited to Portuguese.

This blog is updated weekly, but sometimes (when I feel I’ve got something very important to share with you) I’ll post on a daily basis.

With all coordinated by me, this blog will post news about several bands… some you might like or not but that’s not the point of what I’m sayin’; I’ll post things about 30 Seconds To Mars, Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, The Killers and their other bands (Dead By Sunrise, Fort Minor, How To Destroy Angels, Brandon Flowers…) but this blog will have a place for Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach and other bands that you’ll further notice in this blog.

WHAT ABOUT THIS BLOG NAME??  THE HAND THAT FEEDS

Well, while I was thinking about the blog name I came up with a couple ideas. Some were really good but what I noticed was that the names were already taken… Well this blog’s domain is really hard to remind but it’s not my fault… This was one of the names  I’ve early chosen that was really good and had a meaning to the blog.

Some might think of this as an unlogical name for a music blog but it isn’t. I will mainly feed you about some interesting stuff and my hands do a very important part of the job. So I’ll be the hand that feeds you!

The name was also choosen because of a Nine Inch Nails song with the same name that I love a lot, mainly cause of the message it sends to me (I’m saying this because there’s many ways to figure out what it means to you), WILL YOU STOOD YOU FOR SOMETHING YOU BELIEVE EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO HANDLE THE CONSEQUENCES?

Well, finally a few rules:

1. This is not a place for HATERS!!If you don’t like this blog go read others and don’t bother me or others saying silly/offensive things…(I’m saying this cause I’ve had problems with some people a few years back cause they didn’t knew to respect others opinions).
2. Here people will respect each other or they will be blocked.
3. Publicity is not allowed, links with viruses/offensive stuff/violence and any related stuff with the things I’ve said earlier, will be reported and the people who send this will be BLOCKED.  

                                                           THIS IS A PLACE FOR MUSIC AND MUSIC LOVERS SO RESPECT IT!
